Non-Alcoholic Drinky Drinks Inspired by Dry January

Last month, I embarked on the Dry January journey.  For those of you who are not familiar with the term “Dry January”, it is a commitment some make to detox from alcohol for the entire month of January. As a successful survivor, I can honestly say it was the perfect way to intentionally start the year off on a fresh slate especially from the excess champagne popping and wine glass clinking that occurs over the holiday season.

With my intentions set to drink less alcohol all year in the months to come, I put a healthy spin on three popular alcoholic drinks to sip on throughout 2023!

Coconut Water, Key Lime Juice, & Mineral Salt

A Classic Lime Margarita

Lime Margarita & Coconuts

Coconut water with key lime juice and mineral salt sprinkled in is my version of a classic lime margarita on the rocks at my local Tex-Mex spot.  The slight difference is that the combination of these three ingredients are a hydrating gift to your body as opposed to a standard margarita for obvious reasons. Next time you catch yourself craving a frozen marg, maybe just maybe try hydrating your body instead. Your skin will thank you in the morning, and so will your liver in many years to come.

Here is the link to the mineral salt that I absolutely love, it is by the brand Celtic Sea Salt.

Coffee with Lion’s Mane

Espresso Martini

Espresso Martini & Coffee Beans

Coffee with Lion’s Mane Mushroom Superfood Powder mixed in is my take on an espresso martini.  I have a feeling that lion’s mane powder will be the hot commodity this year in the health, supplement world.  Lion’s mane is nicknamed the “adderall” of health supplements. This powder promotes intense focus and memory as well as overall nerve and mood health. The difference is that you do not have to be prescribed by a doctor to add this supplement into your daily routine. You can find lion’s mane at your local health store, both Whole Foods and Sprouts carries this organic superfood powder.

Tart Cherry Juice

Glass of Red Wine

Glass of Red Wine & Tart Cherries

Tart Cherry Juice had a breakout moment last year in 2022. This juicy bevy was all the buzz because many people (myself included) discovered the sleep inducing benefits of this juice as it allegedly increases the body’s natural production of melatonin. I buy mine at Trader Joe’s but you can find cherry juice at most grocery stores. In my humble opinion, I believe the key is to buy organic tart cherry juice so that your body can absorb all the amazing health benefits. To trick myself at night, I pour mine into a wine glass and pretend that I am enjoying a smooth red blend of Cabernet before bed. Say goodbye to insomnia this year and say hello to more Zzz’s all thanks to sweet cherries.

We all know that February is the month of sweet love & affection.

Thankfully, nature provides all the love we need when it comes to treating our body with care. I encourage you to implement any of the three yummy drinks into your daily routine to show your body some extra love and affection.

Cheers to hydration, focus, & lots of sweet dreams in 2023!

P.S. From the bottom of my heart, thank you kindly for reading my words on a Paige. It means the world to me.
