Something special happens every spring when college basketball begins their NCAA tournament for both women’s basketball and men’s basketball who compete at the NCAA Division I level. Whether you have been filling out brackets for as long as you can remember or you just filled out your first one this year, there is nothing better than the beautiful tournament we all witnessed of which we call March Madness.
A big congrats to both teams who walked away champions: the men of UConn and the women of LSU.
I truly believe women’s sports will forever be impacted by this past season of college basketball. The final four game was a defining moment to grow the game of women’s basketball. The final four game was the most viewed college event of all time. The final four game captured America’s attention as many tuned in to watch because the women on both teams played with heart.
Something special happened this year for women in sports. American tuned in to watch the legendary final four game in Dallas, Texas. The final four was the most viewed college event of all time with the women’s tickets selling for more expensive than the men’s tickets. The women on both team were unapologetically themselves with confidence and class.
Angel Reese has forever changed the game. Caitlin Clark has forever changed the game.
This game was a moment that pushed the league forward. This game was bigger than basketball but it was a defining moment for all women’s sports across the board. Bigger than this moment is the conversation around the moment which is continuing with commentary, both positive and negative. I believe no matter if it is negative or positive, it is positive that people are talking about women’s basketball more than they ever have before. The conversation has started and I know that this is just the beginning go the discussion.
As March Madness has come to an end this past weekend, I have been inspired to create outfits if I were to attend the tournament. Some people go to sporting events for the sports and well others go for the fits, I believe I fall into the second category.
Here are four outfit ideas for you if you happen to find yourself sitting pretty courtside soon.
Courtside Cutie
Don’t Trip
Nothing But Net
Dropping Dimes
Out of the four outfits, which fits your personality the best?
Please let me know if you are a Courtside Cutie, Don’t Trip, Nothing But Net, or Dropping Dimes in the comments below!
P.S. From the bottom of my heart, thank you kindly for reading my words on a Paige. It means the world to me.
